Overview

CHRISTUS Health, a not-for-profit health system with over 600 locations—including hospitals, longterm care facilities, and walk in clinics— engaged Valtech (formerly TBG) to rearchitect and redesign their website in alignment with a new brand identity. As UX Design Lead, I guided the end-to-end experience strategy, delivering a unified, user-centered ecosystem that increased usability, accessibility, and brand impact—earning the #1 “Path to Purchase” ranking in Gartner’s industry report.

The existing site was fragmented into multiple silos with significant content duplication, which created confusion and inefficiencies for users. I conducted stakeholder interviews, user research, and usability audits to identify pain points and define experience goals. Through user journey mapping, persona development, and content strategy workshops, we consolidated redundant pages and structured the information architecture around intuitive navigation paths tailored to key audience needs.

Geo-personalization

A major focus was overhauling the location and provider search functionality to support over 15,000 physicians. I led the UX strategy and wireframing for advanced filtering, geo-personalization, and appointment scheduling features—ensuring the interface was mobile-first and ADA-compliant. The redesigned search tool significantly improved discoverability, reducing user drop-off and supporting better access to care.
